Ms. Susan Darlene Strickland, 53, of Jefferson, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Jeff Hogan will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday. March 17, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on July 19, 1968 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of Kathleen Bailes Hakes and the late James Harold Westmoreland. She was a homemaker and a member of Pond Fork Baptist Church.

Ms. Strickland is survived by her daughter and son in law, Shelby and Brett Funderburk of Hoschton; daughter, Sidney Strickland of Indianapolis, IN; son and daughter in law, Shawn and Peyton Strickland of Pendergrass; grandchildren, Levi Funderburk, Hudsyn Funderburk, Oakley Strickland; mother, Kathleen Hakes of Jefferson; sister, Debbie Willis of Jefferson; nephews, Tyler Willis, Cody Willis both of Dawsonville; niece, Erica Willis of AZ and a number of other loving relatives.
