Ms. Christine Laws Chandler, 89, of Wynne, Arkansas, died on Sunday, March 13, 2022, in Jonesboro.
Christine was born on November 29, 1932, in Forrest City, Arkansas to the late Ollie Lewis Laws and Mamie Thompson Laws. She worked at Kroger for 35 years and was a member of Wynne Baptist Church. She loved her Sunday school class and enjoyed golf, cooking, and sewing. She made many dance costumes over the years.
She is survived by her daughters, Christie McNeill-Loggins (Christie McNeill Dance Studios) and husband Gary of Jonesboro, Sheila Nusom of Jonesboro, sons, Russell South and wife Shirley of Texas City, Texas, Mark South and wife Diana, of Wynne, sisters-in-law, Jane Laws of Conway and Mary Alice Laws of Forrest City, nine grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Six brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Wynne Baptist Church, from 11 AM until 12:30 PM. Graveside services will follow at Cogbill Cemetery at 12:30 PM with Rev. Don Dunavant officiating.
Memorials may be made to Wynne Baptist Church, 1200 E. Bridges, Wynne, Arkansas 72396.
