She was born on August 21, 1924 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to Jesse and Martha (Davis) Williams.
Martha was married to the late Kenneth Thomas who lived to celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary. They moved to Columbus in 1952 and, after a few years, started the Ken Thomas Oil Company, where she took an active part in the business. In later years, she worked in the offices of Micro Industries. She was an active member of Overbrook Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School, served as a Deacon and led a Women's Circle for several years.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; sister Arline Kennedy, brothers Jesse, Charles, Roger and Bob Williams; daughters, Sandra Thomas and Merla Hopkins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Overbrook Presbyterian Church, 4131 N. High St., Columbus, OH, 43214.
