KELLEY--Funeral Services Held Today For Mrs. Bertha Kelley
Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Kelley, 77, long-time resident of Columbus, were held at 2:30 p.m. today at the Federated church with the Rev. Franklin Wales, pastor, offiiating. Burial was made in Roselawn Memorial park.
Mrs. Kelley died about 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Morys Nursing home, following a lingering illness.
She was born July 6, 1874 at Sterling, Ill., the daughter of Milton and Martha Thomas Obrist.
Her marriage to William J. Kelley took place Oct. 5, 1898 in Columbus and they resided in Monroe for many years. They moved to Columbus about 18 years ago, and Mr. Kelley died Nov. 5, 1946.
Mrs. Kelley was a member of the Federated church and was affiliated with Vashti Rebekah lodge, Harmony Chapter No. 13, Order of Eastern Star, and the Y Ladies.
She is survived by: two children, John of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Mrs. Ted Haldiman of Columbus; one sister, Mrs. Willard McCone of Albion; two brothers, Lannie Obrist of Stromsburg and Eddie Obrist of Columbus; and three grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons who died in infancy, her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Gass funeral home had charge of the arrangements.

Franklin Wales officiated and burial was made in Roselawn Memorial park. Pallbearers were Frank Mills, L.P. Moss, S.S. Mann, Glendale Meinyer, Charles Deland and Wayne Silkett.
