The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Ed Steiner officiating.
Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Hartlage was born Aug. 4, 1939 in Louisville, Ky. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Hartlage; mother, Lillian Whitworth Griffitts; daughter, Leslie Hartlage; and a brother, Tony Hartlage.
He was a special education teacher at Sycamore High School, a U.S. Navy veteran, a graduate of Austin Peay State University and loved to coach Little League Baseball.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Lou Jones Hartlage, Clarksville; son, "Don Don" (Sherre) Hartlage Jr., Clarksville; daughter, Elizabeth "Liz" (Charles) Ashley, Elizabethtown, Ky.; brothers, Kenny Hartlage, Greenwood, S.C., and Chris Hartlage, Louisville, Ky.; sisters, Patty King, Louisville, Ky., Carolyn Proctor, Knoxville, and Beverly Pryor, Oak Ridge; and grandchildren, Jace, Nick, Shrader, Mitch and Drew.
