BROWN, Cora Lee 49, was born on February 14, 1968, in Dayton, Ohio to Brenda Lucille Brown and Jimmy Lee Brown. She departed this life to be at peace with our Lord on January 23, 2018, due to a sudden, unexplained heart attack. While in Dayton, Cora attended Miami Chapel Middle School, prior to moving to: Okinawa, Japan for three years; Philadelphia, PA; Columbus, OH; Chicago, IL and her final resting place Howard County MD. Cora graduated from The Ohio State University with a double major in Sociology and East Asian Studies and a minor in African-American Studies. While at Ohio State, she became a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. "Coco", as she was affectionately referred to, was a loving Christian, who accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at a young age and will always be remembered for the selfless support and care that she freely gave to others. She also will be remembered for her many gifts, including writing poetry and songs. She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Brenda Lucille White, 2 sisters, Susan Abdul and Janene Bunkley, and niece and nephews Kiera Abdul, Darrell Bunkley, Jr. and Kieran Abdul, as well as other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Lee Brown and step-father David Esley White.
