Funeral service for Geraldine Katherine (McDaniel) Torres will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2022, in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jude Brunnert officiating.
Committal service will follow in the Willis Flat Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Visitation will be held in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel today, March 14, 2022, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., then on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.
Katherine, of Welch, entered eternal rest on Friday, March 11, 2022, in Welch, Louisiana.
She was born December 11, 1942, in Elizabeth to the union of William McDaniel and Mattie (Johnson) McDaniel.
She was a Catholic by faith and member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in DeRidder. In 1960, she graduated from Plainview High School. She was a very talented seamstress. Katherine was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her!
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mattie McDaniel; her husband, Leonardo Torres-Lopez; one daughter, Shawnee Bailey; and twelve siblings.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are two daughters, Maria Torres and her fiancé, Kenneth Walker and Olivia (Joseph) Steele, all of Saucier, Mississippi; one son, Charnel (Kendra) Bailey of Rosepine; eight grandchildren, Tatiana Torres, Savannah Robertson, Isabella Steele, Mikhail Steele, Coy Bailey, Cash Bailey, Katia Walker, and Jace Walker; one great grandson, Dimitri Torres; along with a host of family and friends.
