Virginia Maxine Campbell, 91, departed this life on March 9, 2022. She was born in Big Cabin, Oklahoma on July 2, 1930 to Charles Arlington Whisler and Mary Lorena Trickey who preceded her in death along with her siblings; Amos Arlington Whisler and Betty Juanita Jones. Virginia graduated from Big Cabin High School in 1949, and then attended McAlester Business School. After working for the Tulsa Army Corps of Engineers, she married John William Campbell in 1951. She is preceded in death by her husband and three of her children; John William Jr., James Stephen, and Mary Catherine. She is survived by her three children; Doris Patricia Standefer, Charles Robert Campbell, his wife Stacie, and Kara Sue Campbell; 17 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and extended family. Virginia led a rich life full of many creative pursuits. There was nothing that she could not do. She enjoyed crafting of all types, painting, woodworking, flower arranging, cake decorating, sewing, and quilting. Always full of grace and dignity, Virginia, was a strong believer in having faith and staying positive. Virginia enjoyed a rich spiritual life at her home church, Emmanuel in Vinita, Oklahoma. Services will be held at Emmanuel Church on March 12, 2022 at 2 p.m.
