Mrs. Alvina [Lovina] Swartout, 73, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stanley L Swenson, 815 Nicollet Avenue. Funeral services will be held at Harres-Smesrud-Gosewisch funeral home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will take place at Decoria cemetery. Rev. Raymond A Haase, pastor of St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church, will officiate.
Mrs. Swartout was born in New York State. Survivors include three sons, John, Harold and Harley Swartout, all of Minneapolis, three daughters, Mrs. Harold Murrey, Detroit, Mrs. Harris Hanson, Osakis, and Mrs. Swenson, two brothers, Lewis Pierce, Good Thunder, and Daniel Pierce, North Mankato, eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
