Barbara Robinson of Gilmer peacefully passed away on Friday March 11, 2022, in her home surrounded in love by her family. Croley Funeral home in Gilmer will host Visitation on March 14 from 6-8:00 pm and funeral services on March 15 at 2 pm with Reverend Jim Withers officiating followed by graveside services at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. She was born 2/9/39 in Canadian Texas, to the late William Ramsey Miers Jr. and Doris Naomi Hughes. She retired from the Upshur County Sheriff's Department after 25 years where she served as a jailer and dispatcher. Barbara was a loving mother to her children and grandchildren. Barbara is survived by her brothers Glen Hughes and David Hughes. Her children Martha McDougal of Decatur, GA, David Robinson of Longview TX, Danny Robinson, (Kristy) Fort Worth TX., Gary Robinson, Conroe TX, Jim Robinson, (Tracy) Big Sandy TX, Randy Robinson, Gilmer TX, Linda Robinson (Jennifer) Ft Worth TX, and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years James 'Jim' Robinson Gilmer TX., her sister Ann Hughes. Barbara was a lifelong supporter of The Shriner's Hospital.
