Jon Nguyen, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Jon was a native of Vietnam and a longtime resident of Houma.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in Chapel Dauphine of Chauvin Funeral Home on Friday, March 4, 2022, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at The Most Holy Rosary Family Church by prospect on Saturday, March 5, 2022, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery No. 2.
Jon is survived by his children, Quang Nguyen, Sang Nguyen, Hanh Nguyen and companion Marcus Jasper, Tony Nguyen and their mother, Cuong Nguyen; grandchildren, Mai Jasper, Tuan Jasper, Thai Nguyen, Lanh Nguyen, Ashton Coleman.
Jon is preceded in death by his parents, Tien Nguyen and Lai Le; son, Bill Nguyen.
Jon was a loving father and grandfather. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. Jon was retired after many years of service as a lead welder for North American Fabrication Company. He was an usher and parishioner of The Most Holy Rosary Family Church. Jon leaves this world behind to be reunited with his family who passed before him.
He is now in the presence of his beloved son and rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
