Robert "Bob" Nicholson, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Normalville, passed away Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, in Whitehead Personal Care Home, Youngwood.
Bob was born Aug. 12, 1933, at Little Summit, Dunbar Township, Fayette County, a son of the late Henry W. and Nellie P. (Clark) Nicholson.
Bob was employed at the steel mill and coal mine followed by many years at Seven Springs Mountain Resort.
He and his late wife enjoyed yearly vacations with their family at Ocean City, Md., along with live music at the Dawson Grange and bingo at the Connellsville Senior Citizen Center.
Bob also enjoyed hanging out with his special friends at Connellsville McDonalds.
Bob is predeceased by his wife, Janetta; brothers, Ken, Scott, Bud; sisters, Florina Walters, Francie Shwertz.
Bob is survived by his stepdaughter, Shirley Knopsnider and husband Allen of White; grandchildren, Angela Ramsey and husband Tim of White, Tony Knopsnider and fiance Amber Golden of Jones Mills; great-grandchildren, Ally Ramsey and fiance Adam Winey, Autum Ramsey and fiance Cody Rummel, Kyle Knopsinder and fiance Daniele Farkas; great-great-grandchild Colton Knopsinder; loving brother, Glenn Nicholson and wife Karen.
Family and friends will hold a graveside memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the Normalville Cemetery, Route 711, Normalville, officiated by loving family member Kristin Maselli.
