Carol was born November 10, 1949 in Miami, OK to Dale and Norma Shere. She lived in California for several years graduating high school in Chula Vista, CA.
She moved to Kansas where she met and married Phillip Smith in 1991.
Survivors are her husband, mother Norma Swank; one daughter, Kelly Shere; one step-daughter, Laurie Beye; two step-sons, James Smith (Karen) and Billy Smith (Stephanie), all of Oswego, KS.
She was preceded in death by her father, brother, Ronald Swank, two sisters, Sandra Hancock and Linda Peterson.
She was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Columbus, KS for cremation. No services are planned.
