Mr. Larry Wayne Turner, 75 of Blackshear, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Kindred Hospital in Green Cove Springs, Florida.
Born in Blackshear, GA on February 8, 1947, Mr. Turner was retired from the city of Waycross as a truck driver. He loved watching wrestling and westerns. He was of the Church of God faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe & Blanche Rosella Strickland Turner; a brother, Lamar Turner; a sister, Patsy Sherrod; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Boatright.
Survivors include his daughter, Dana Turner of Indianapolis, Indiana; his son, Kevin Turner of TN; his sisters, Deloris Boatright and Pearl Bailey of Blackshear; his brother, Carlton (Jackie) Turner of Blackshear; sister-in-law Sylvia Turner of Blackshear; his best friend, David McCarthy of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Memorial services for Mr. Turner will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 7:00 o'clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel with Bro. Steve Boatright officiating.
The family will receive friends at the chapel one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery.
Memorialization is by cremation.
