BURLINGTON — Thelma Isabell Dewey, 92, Burlington, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at her home.
The funeral was to be 1:30 p.m. today at the Burlington First Baptist Church.
She was born June 26, 1915, to William and Bertha Flo (Newton) Proehl at Dunlap, Kan.
She married Elmer G. Dewey April 5, 1936, at Alta Vista. He died July 2, 2000.
Survivors include two sons, George Dewey, Garnett, and John Dewey, Melvern; three daughters, Kay Allen, Bucklin, Aleta Mays, Fairland, Okla., and Patricia Hull, Weimar, Texas; two brothers, Herman Proehl, Versailles, Mo., and Wayne Proehl, Emporia; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Darrell Dewey; and a brother, Frederick Proehl.
Burial was to be at Waverly Cemetery.
