Rita E. Miller, age 92, of Shawano, passed away on Friday March 11, 2022. She was born on July 23, 1929, in Foxburow, WI, to the late William and Amy (Poe) Benedickt. Rita graduated from Beauty School and worked as a beautician for most of her life. She lived and raised her family in Milwaukee for about 30 years and then later lived in Shawano area for the past 40 years. On October 22, 1949, she was united in marriage to Warren Miller who preceded her in death. Rita enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, bowling, and having a good time with her friends and family. She was always known for making people laugh with her wonderful sense of humor.
Rita is survived by: her children David (Laurie) Miller, Kenneth Miller, and Julie (Allen) Seiler; her grandchildren Kate (Andrew) Christensen, Jayne (Jeffrey) Rafel, Ivan Seiler, Amy (Marty) Wolniakowski; her 7 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her husband Warren; her parents William and Amy; her son Thomas Miller; her grandson Allen Seiler Jr.; her 14 brothers and sisters.
A funeral service for Rita will be held at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church on Friday March 18, 2022 at 11:00 am with Deacon Todd Raether officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am on Friday at the church until the time of service. Burial will be held at church cemetery at a later date.
