Senior Chief Calvin G. Hawkins, USCG retired went to be with the Lord on March 9th, 2022 at his home in Pasadena, Texas. Calvin was preceded in death by his Parents: Carol and Doris Hawkins Wife:Sheron Hawkins Brother: Stephen Hawkins

He is survived by his Children: Christopher Hawkins and wife Donna Kevin Hawkins, Vicki Roberson and husband Donald; Grandchildren: Faith Hawkins Brandon Roberson, Adam Roberson, Nolan Roberson, Sisters: Sister-in law: Carol Ault and husband Bill Doris Torrance, Debbie Hawkins. Calvin was born on October 10th, 1946 in Houston, Texas. He attended Milby High School and enlisted in the Coast Guard in1965. He married the love of his life and best friend Sheron three years later. After 21 years of service, Calvin retired from the Coast Guard in 1986 and moved his family from Poulsbo, Washington to Pasadena, Texas. In 1988, Calvin returned to the sea as a Merchant Marine Chief Engineer on seismic vessels traveling to Alaska, Canada, Russia and South America and oil rig supply ships off the Gulf Coast until he retired in 2015. Calvin and his late wife Sheron were members of First Baptist Church Pasadena, Texas.

So here's the Coast Guard marching song, we sing on land or sea. Through surf and storm and howling gale, high shall our purpose be. "Semper Paratus" is our guide, our fame, our glory too. A visitation for Calvin will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church - Pasadena, 7500 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A committal service will occur Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505.
