John Douglas Jenkins, 79, of Glencoe, died on Thursday, March 10, 2022.
Doug was born on April 17, 1942, in Gadsden. He graduated from Etowah High School in 1960 and also married Gail Duke in 1960. He served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963 and has lived in Glencoe since 1966. Doug loved Alabama Football, traveling, cooking, reading, square dancing, and a trip to the casino with his buddies. He treasured life, family, and friends.

Doug is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Edward and Irene Smith Jenkins; wife, Gail Duke Jenkins; daughter, Lori Ann Jenkins; and son, Charles 'Chuck' Jenkins.
He is survived by his sister and spouse, brother and spouse, two sons and spouses, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His funeral service was at Collier-Butler Funeral Home March 14, 2022. Burial followed at Crestwood Cemetery.
