Mr. Norman Lee Wright, 78, entered into his heavenly home, on March 10, 2022. He was born August 13, 1943 in Martinsville, VA to the late Jesse Lee Wright and the late Alma Herndon Wright. Norman was also predeceased by his wife, Frances "Gail" Williams Wright.
Norman graduated from Whitmell High School. He joined the United States Army after graduation. He was stationed in France and enjoyed touring Europe. Norman worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier. He was a member of Shermont Baptist Church. He loved to: fish, read, travel and eat good food. He was known for staying on the go, especially visiting his friends.
Norman is survived by his son, Greg Wright and his wife, Katelyn of Mechanicsville, VA; sister, Dorothy Chludzinski (John); brother, David Wright; his special grandchildren, Izabella Wright and Connor Wright; niece, Stephanie C. Bennett (Mike); and nephew, John A. Chludzinski (Jacquelyn).
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Shermont Baptist Church, Danville, VA with Pastor Ryan Riley officiating. A visitation will take place prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. also at Shermont Baptist Church. Interment will follow at County Line Christian Church.
