Patty Briley Sutton, 77, passed away at her home after battling a long illness on Tuesday, March 8th, 2022.
Patty was a native and lifelong resident of Pitt County, residing in the Greenville area. For many years, she was employed with Burroughs Wellcome before retiring in 1995. A woman of faith, she was also a member of the Jehovah Witness North Greenville Congregation and had been since she was a young child.
Patty loved shopping, gardening, traveling, and cooking for her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by a son, Vandoren Sutton. Patty is survived by her husband of 61 years; three sons; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister; along with several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 2 PM in Pinewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
