Bryan Timothy Parker was born on February 21st, 1970 in Oakland, CA to Jerry and Sharon Parker. He left us and went on to his heavenly Father and Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 19th, 2022.

The family moved from Oakland to Fernley, Nevada in 1973; it was a great place for kids to grow up, safe to learn how to ride a bike, with a big park across the street and they knew everyone and everyone knew them.

When Bryan was 10 years old, the family moved from Fernley to Dairyville (Red Bluff). He attended Lassen View School and Red Bluff High. He was active in 4H- raising sheep, learning woodwork, building rockets, going on an exchange trip to Montana and their 4H group visiting us. At Lassen View School he enjoyed playing the saxophone and had the lead in his 8th grade play.

He got off track in High School but passed the proficiency test, started classes at Shasta College but then got Mono and that was that. That summer, on Aug 3rd, 1988 he and his brother and 2 friends were swimming/diving near the Tehama Bridge when Bryan lost his footing on an embankment over the river. He fell in and broke his neck. He spent a year in the hospital and Rehab at Santa Clara Valley Med Center. He had no head injury at the time but was given an antibiotic that caused 3 hrs of Grand mal seizures that had to be stopped by putting him in a 24 hr induced coma. This caused him to have a short term memory deficit. For the next 33 years he lived a challenging life and then acquired lymphoma in 2021 but he got a lot of satisfaction from his art work. He was talented in this and an inspiration to many. He enjoyed his weekly bible studies with Charley Simmons. His fav colors were silver and black- his fav FT being the Raiders, his fav cars were Chevy's and Porsche's, his fav artist was Frank Frazetta, of whom he had a number of prints. His fav music was AC DC, with an occasional liking for classical music. In fact, when his body was in shock, right after his accident, he only wanted to hear Bass Viol, so a friend brought him a Yo Yo Ma tape. Then he went to classical music, but when he asked for Pink Floyd, we knew he was back.

He lived with his parents in Dairyville for 16 years and then got the opportunity to move into his own apartment uptown. He loved that.

Bryan joined H.I.R.E. (Head Injury Recreation Entity) and made some wonderful friends that he had great times with the rest of his life. Rummikub Rules! Thank you, Rusty Brown and Mom, Margie for founding this group and for your friendship.

Bryan leaves behind his parents, Jerry and Sharon Parker, Dairyville, CA; his brother, Kevin Parker (Anita), Dairyville, CA; His sister, Becky Porras (Mark), Brea, CA; nephew, Gavin Parker; niece, Gracie Parker; nephews Caleb, Connor, and Colin Porras.

He had many caregivers over the years and whether they stayed a week or 4,8,10 years they were very much appreciated! A special Shout Out to Randy Smith, Bobbi Mathues, Sandra McCauley, Sheila Holland, Katrina Morris and her son, Wayne Pettitt who came after school to help Bryan with his painting, and Billy Martin, without whom Sharon would not have been able to have knee replacement and continue to take care of Bryan.

Another special Shout Out to Dr. Lee Shoop for 32 years of attending to Bryan's many needs. Thank You So So Much!
