Mrs. Velma M. Jackson, 70, of 713 Circle Dr. Greenville, NC died Saturday March 14, 2015. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 21, 2015 1pm at New Deliverance FWB Church 4174 West Ave. Ayden, NC 28513. Burial will follow in Homestead Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Jackson was a seamstress and a member of the church. She is survived by four sons, Malcolm Gregory Jackson of Cary, NC, Edward George Jackson of Greenville, NC, Gregory Maurice Edwards of Ayden, NC and Michael Dixon of Greenville, NC. Four daughters, Elecia Jackson Nesmith of Greenville, NC, Cynthia Calhoun of Atlanta, GA, Latonia Daniels of Greenville, NC, and Akeya Dixon of Charlotte, NC. Three brothers, Charles Edwards of New Haven, CT, John Matthew Edwards of Winston Salem, NC and John Frank (Wiley) Edwards Jr. of Ayden, NC. One sister, Thelma Pugh of Greenville, NC. Fourteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing will be held on Friday March 20, 2015 from 3-5pm at the funeral home and 6-8pm at the church.
