Nathan Cornelious Richardson Jr. was born on September 18, 1946 to the late Nathan Cornelious Richardson Sr. and the late Beulah Maxwell Richardson in Newport News, Virginia. He transitioned on February 19, 2022 at his residence.

He worked for General Maintenance for 27 years and late worked for Delancy's Restaurant for over fifteen years where he retired. He loved oldies music and also enjoyed wrestling and sports. He enjoyed working in the yard and building and fixing things. He was a faithful member of Wadsworth Congregational Church where he served as a trustee and sung in the male choir.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Carrie Sockwell Richardson of the home, sons: Nathan Cornelious Richardson III of Burlington and Lawrence Richardson of Sedalia; daughters: CieLea Cox of Raleigh, NC, Leaia Richardson and Julia Richardson both of Burlington, NC and Natia Richardson of Durham, NC; a brother: Robert Lawrence Richardson of Colorado; sisters: Barbara McCain of Brown Summit and Carolyn Byrd of Greensboro, grandson: Johnathan Cox Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother Jessie Mae Richardson, a daughter Latasha Richardson and a sister Naomi Richardson.

Interment will follow at Wadsworth Congregational Church in Whitsett, NC.
