Virginia A. Brown, 88, of Milan, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. Services for Mrs. Brown will be 11 am, Monday at the First Presbyterian Church, Milan. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Burial will be in the Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or to a favorite charity.
Virginia Vogt was born on October 31, 1933 in Moline, a daughter of Paul and Ruth (Bleuer) Vogt. Virginia was the 1951 Valedictorian at Sherrard High School. She married Jack H. Brown on February 17, 1968 in Milan. Mrs. Brown worked as the assistant cashier at Blackhawk State Bank, and she was honored by the American Business Woman's Association in 1967. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, Milan, where she served as treasurer and elder. She served as President of the Moline PTA and was a PTA District Director. Virginia loved traveling with her family to the National Parks. She enjoyed celebrating Christmas, cross-stitching, golf and in earlier years being on the Blackhawk Bank bowling team.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Robert Vogt.
