Oberlin-Funeral services for Mildred Diane Cooper, 61, will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin. Burial will follow at China Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 4-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Sunday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Diane was a loving daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She was an avid reader; it never took her long to finish a book. She enjoyed watching criminal and comedy shows, cooking, cleaning her house, shooting pool and bowling. Diane was a cashier at Market Basket in Kinder—she loved her job and enjoyed meeting new people daily. Most of all, Diane enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Diane's memory include her mother, Callie "Chris" Kennedy of Oberlin; one son, Johnathan Cooper of Albany, LA; two daughters, Janae Gordon and husband, Jared, of Madison, AL and Jennifer Cooper of Westlake; one sister, Donna Kennedy of Oberlin; and four grandchildren, Ethan, Gabrielle, Layla and Maia.

Diane is preceded in death by her father, William Kennedy.
