Danny "Dan" Lynn Graham 76, retired Captain of Sand Springs Police Department, of Tulsa passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, January 31, 2022.

It is with profound sadness that we report the passing of Capt Dan Graham ( Retired) yesterday at his home in Tulsa, He was 76 years old. Dan began working here in 1982 as a patrolman. He was promoted to Sgt in 1985 and was a shift supervisor until his promotion to Lt in 1998 when he became a Division Commander. He was promoted to Captain in 2005 when the department changed the rank structure. From 1998 until his retirement in 2011 Capt Graham was the Commander of every Division at one point and was a wealth of knowledge for anyone who needed to know how things worked. He was on the competition shooting team, founding member of the bike team, he was instrumental in training program, he was our liaison to Rader, working all the cases from that facility, and he was a long time employee of TCC before and after retirement, pretty much had his hand in everything.
In his retirement he enjoyed riding his Harley, sometimes across the country, and he enjoyed his occasional lunch dates with officers that he used to work with. He is survived by his longtime girlfriend Jeannie, and her Children. Funeral arrangements have not been made yet. Please keep his family and our officers in your thoughts and prayers as we grieve the loss of a friend, loved one, and colleague.
