Dec. 28, 2007 SOUTH BEND - Charles Edward Zimmer, 47, went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2007. He was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Lynn Zimmer; and, grandfather, Dale E. Zimmer. Mr. Zimmer is survived by his father and stepmother, Dale Edward and Cathy Zimmer; sister, Shelly Zimmer of San Bernedino, CA; sister, Cindy Zimmer of Mishawaka; sister, Kim Butler (Steve) of Dowagiac; stepsister, Gracie Marski (Larry) of Osceola; stepbrother, Richard Holderman of Mishawaka; grandmother, Ruth V. Zimmer of Elkhart; best friend, Fernando Chavez (Mary); also numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin Sunday January 6, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home, Roy Akers Zizik Kearns Funeral Chapel, San Antonio. Interment will be Monday, January 7, 2008 at 9:00 A.M. in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
