Leroy worked in the construction business most of his adult life. He spent many years as a foreman with Butzner Construction. Leroy enjoyed watching stock car racing and always had a passion for hot rod cars. Most days, you could find him sitting at the picnic table in his front yard, waving to friends and family as they would drive by and always happy to shoot the breeze with anyone who took the time to stop. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his son, Jason Williams and wife Michele; grandchildren Chase, Cooper, and Clarke; father Herbert Q. Williams; brother Bernie Williams and wife Donna; sisters Gail Tate and husband Ronnie, Tammy Good and husband Rob, and Chasity Williams-Cash and husband Wayne; sister-in-law Molly Williams; many, many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins; and aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois E. Williams; and brother Quinton Williams (late husband to Molly).
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 14 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.
