Kevin Dewayne Blackwell, 63, passed away on March 8, 2022. Kevin was born June 14, 1958 in Nashville, TN to Jim and Alice Blackwell.

Kevin graduated from McGavock High School in Donaldson, TN and pursued auto mechanics, to then later, open his own mechanic shop, Blackwell's Auto Service where he spent many long hours. He loved what he did. After selling the shop, his love for mechanics continued on, in his home shop, working on his friends and family's vehicles.

Kevin enjoyed the simple things in life. Mowing the yard, a bag of fireball candy and some country music. He was always active within his church, Silver Springs Baptist.

Kevin is survived by his children, Bryant (Amanda) and Cynthia (David), his father James E., three siblings Emily (Mike), Dennis (Elaine), Chris (Amy), many nieces and nephews and many, many friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother Alice, and his brothers Michael Patrick and Barry Mark Blackwell. Kevin will be remembered by his strength, his knowledge and his caring heart.

A gathering of family and friends for Kevin will be held Friday, March 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, followed by a a celebration of life service at 12:00PM.
