Linda Faye Allen, 79, of Newnan, Georgia, passed away March 7, 2022. She was born on December 3, 1942. Linda was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late I. J. and Cleo Phillips. Linda attended Paxon High School and later worked as an executive administrator in the grocery industry.
She was a Christian first and a Southern Baptist by denomination. Linda was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there for her family. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Raymond and Jill Collins, Jr., of Foley, Alabama; daughter, Melissa and Craig Schumacher of Newnan, Georgia; son, Lance and Karen Collins of Senoia, Georgia; twenty (20) grandchildren, Kailey (Ryan) Floyd, Brittany Collins, Ashley (John) Crosland, Barrett (Carlee) Collins, Hunter (Jacqueline) Collins, Grant (Amanda) Collins, Chandler Collins, Sherry (Josh) Hughie, Lacey Gulledge, Karly Cox, Dylan Schumacher, Whitney Gulledge, Mary Gulledge, Dr. Michael Collins, Macy Collins, Jake LaBar, Luke LaBar, Gabriel LaBar, Karaline LaBar, and Isabella Kampras; thirteen (13) great-grandchildren, Andrew Floyd, William Floyd, Collins Floyd, Natalie Boss, Lynleigh Collins, Everett Collins, Luke Cox, Charlotte Gulledge, Skylar Smith, Baby Hughie, Angeline LaBar, Blake Fuller, and Waylon LaBar; sister, Jo-An Stevens of Gainesville, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Fred Allen.
The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, March 12, 2022, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM at Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City with Chaplain Sam Braswell officiating.
