She is survived by her son, Marvin Boyd and his wife, Sarah; granddaughter, Abigail; brother, George Dowdy, Jr.; long-term companion, Earl Sale; and a circle of extended family and friends.
Patricia was born and raised in Cumberland, VA. She worked for the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles and then spent many years as a devoted homemaker. Later, she worked for Chesterfield County Public Schools and demoed new products at Kroger and Ukrop's.
She enjoyed attending to her multiple houseplants, dancing, visiting with friends, playing with her granddaughter, and traveling with her son. She was an amazing cook and her home smelled of tasty dishes, pies and cobblers, and holiday feasts.
The family will receive friends 10am until service time at 11am on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Second Branch Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Second Branch Baptist Church or the Alzheimer's Association
Alzheimer's Disease may have erased many of her precious memories, but could not take her infectious smile or laugh.
