Dennis Michael Pelletier, 67, of 17 Sunnyside Drive, Dalton, died Friday, September 14, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family.Born in Claremont, New Hampshire, a son of Ludovic Pelletier of Pittsfield and the late Beatrice Ryan Pelletier, he was a 1963 graduate of Pittsfield High School and earned a two-year associates degree in business while serving with the United States Navy.
Mr. Pelletier was employed in various management positions for General Electric Company. He retired in 2001 with 27 years service.
He was a former member of Wahconah Country Club where he enjoyed golfing with his close friends. He also enjoyed fishing and going to the casinos. His four grandchildren were his greatest love.
Mr. Pelletier leaves his wife, the former Frances C. Kulis, whom he married April 23, 1966, in New Lebanon, New York.
Besides his wife and his father, he is also survived by two daughters, Michelle R. Delphia and her husband Don of Southampton, Mass., and Melissa A. Pelletier of Hinsdale and her companion, Jason Wieland; a son, Dennis M. Pelletier of Dalton; a brother, James Pelletier of Bradenton, Florida; a sister, Laurel Cucchi, and her husband, Peter, of Ijamsville, Maryland; and was the beloved "Papa" of Dennis Pelletier, Derek Pelletier, Devin Pelletier, and Darren Pelletier.
He was pre-deceased by a brother, David Pelletier, late of Sarasota, Florida, who died in 1993.
FUNERAL NOTICE: In keeping with Mr. Pelletier's wishes, there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Pelletier may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice Services of Western Massachusetts both care of DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main Street, Dalton.
