David C. Amdahl, age 76, of Willmar, passed away Wednesday, March 2, at Carris Health Rice Therapy Suites.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Atwater. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Bethel Lutheran Church or Woodland Centers are preferred. David Charles Amdahl was born on November 8, 1945, in Litchfield, Minnesota, the son of Alvin and Mabel (Johnston) Amdahl. He grew up on a farm SE of Atwater in Acton Township, was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and graduated from Atwater High School in 1963. David later moved to Willmar and was employed at Jennie-O Foods for over 32 years. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. David enjoyed reading, bible study, traveling, playing piano and watching sports. He was very knowledgeable about baseball and an avid MN Twins fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
