Sharon D. Davis, age 76 of Omaha, died from complications related to breast cancer on March 4, 2022, at UNMC hospital. She was born on November 27, 1945, in South Omaha, the daughter of John Clayton Rose and Juanita (Jackson) Rose. Sharon graduated from South High School, Class of 1964. Upon graduation, she attended St. Joseph's Hospital School of X-Ray Technology where she received her degree. She would later earn her insurance license and co-found the Davis Companies with her husband Dr. Dick C. E. Davis. In 2012, the Small Business Administration awarded the family business with the National Minority Small Business Champion award, and the Governor's NEBRASKALAND Foundation Trailblazer Award in 2010. The family continues to engage in several community service efforts focused on education and economic development in underserved and disadvantaged communities in Nebraska. The Davis-Chambers $5 million endowment is a multi-year, multi-million-dollar scholarship program for Nebraska's University, Community, and State Colleges.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her three sisters, Marlene Moore, Donna Temple, and Olene Marion. Surviving in addition to her husband, Dr. Dick C.E. Davis, are her son, Dick C.E. Davis II (Atlanta); her daughter, Shaynel Williams and husband, Anthony Williams (Omaha), and three grandchildren: Erin L, Ethan S., and Elise M. Davis (Atlanta); sisters, Janice Miles (Omaha), Claudia Wright (Bellevue), and Melanie Rose (LaVista); and a host of nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, March 12, 10am, at Good News Church, 7415 Hickory St., Omaha, NE. Entombment will be at Graceland Park Cemetery, Omaha for all those who can attend.
