He was a brilliant mind and a loving spirit. He enjoyed fishing, racing, and reading, especially his Bible. He was a master carpenter with an eye for fine detail. He will truly be missed.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Ray Lewis and Margaret Smith-Lewis; a brother, Randy Ray Lewis; and a nephew, Joseph W. Lewis, II.
He is survived by his son, Michael Hugh Lewis, II (Latasha); his daughter, Angela Nicole Lewis (Kevin); six grandchildren: Malachi, Brandon, Candise, Cheneice, Courtney, and Sophia Catherine; and five siblings: Billy D. Lewis (Diane), Lisa Green, Joseph Lewis (Amanda), Ed Raeford Lewis (Dana), and Randy S. Lewis.
The funeral services will be held in Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Luther Sanchez and Rev. Glenn Norris officiating. The burial services will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
