James (Jimmy/Reg) Harden, 94, passed away after a short illness peacefully at home in North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maze and Dora Harden; his three brothers, Glenn, Bub, and Cecil Harden. His sister, Pauthine Tinsley and her late husband Charlie.

He moved to Florida when he was 17 years old and remained there until after his retirement. He began spending summers in NC with his family until when 2 years ago he permanently moved here. He loved to travel and see new things and meet new people and just enjoyed a simple life with his family. He loved the Florida sunshine and warm weather but also enjoyed the beautiful mountains of NC. He is loved by all of his family and many friends. He will be truly missed but we are all blessed to know he is with his heavenly family and the Lord.

He is survived by his children: Sandra Whitaker (late husband George B) of Savannah Georgia, Dianne Guffey (Nowell) of Tryon NC, Mike Harden (Karen) of Zirconia NC, and Pat Osteen (Darrell) of Zirconia NC. He had nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren, of all he adored and enjoyed spending time with.

A private family memorial service will be held at later date.
