Richard D. Hoffman, 82, of Muhlenberg Township passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Mary Jane (Reith) Hoffman. Together they shared 51 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Luther and Catharine (Brice) Hoffman. Richard served proudly in the United Stated Air Force. He was employed as a Maintenance Engineer for Talbott Knitting Mills and Glidden Professional Paint until retiring in 2001.

Richard was an active member of Alsace Lutheran Church, including the senior club. He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, reading and was known for his ability to fix anything.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Deborah Williams of Harrisburg; Lori Wade, wife of Daniel, of Muhlenberg Township; Karen Lent, wife of Scott, of New York City; Kathleen Martin, wife of Christopher, of Lexington, NC; and 8 grandchildren. Richard was predeceased by his siblings, Luther Hoffman and Dorothy Lewis.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Homes, 1605 Rockland Street Hampden Heights on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 10:00am-12:00pm, with the funeral service at 12:00pm. Reverend Richard A. Nelson will officiate. Interment will follow at Alsace Cemetery.
