Helen Marie Butler (nee Marbaker(, 72, of Fredericksburg, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on January 31, 2022. Helen was born on June 13, 1949, in Dumfries, Virginia to Charles and Lucille Marbaker as the second youngest of five children. Helen graduated from Stafford Senior High School in 196 and was a long-time employer of Pratt Medical Center until her retirement. Helen was a spirited woman. never shy to share her opinion, and had the fortitude of a warrior. From her first diagnoses with breast cancer in 1993, Helen would continue to beat cancer on three separate occasions. Helen loved fiercely and would do anything she could to help her family and friends. Helen enjoyed puzzles, shopping for kitchen gadgets on QVC, Hallmark Christmas movies, and spending quality time with friends and family. Helen treasured her time she lived at the Meadows of Salem Run. She met many wonderful friends there, including her ladies from the "butt hut."
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Doris, brother Charlie, and brother Jimmy. Helen is survived by her brother Robert; son Christopher, son-in-law, Kevin; and the apple of her eye, her beloved granddaughter, Sophie.
