Obituary, published in "The Daily Times" (Salisbury, MD) on Mon., December 16, 1963, on page 20:

"MRS. WILLIAM BARKLEY

MILLSBORO ━ Mrs. Pearl Barkley, 56, of Millsboro died Saturday in the Beebe Hospital, Lewes, after a long illness.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Rachel Smith of Exmore, and Mrs. Annie Bailey of Millsboro; two brothers, John Major of Exmore and Hazzie Major of Millsboro; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the widow of William Barkley of Eden, who died in 1961.

Services will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m. in the Flower Hill Church at Eden, with the pastor, the Rev. Clarence Handy, officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Watson and Gray Funeral Chapel, Millsboro, tonight."
