Mrs. Clara Carolyn Horton Bradley, 79, died Saturday, January 25, 2020, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 29, at Wilksburg Baptist Church with Rev. Seth Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Wilksburg Baptist Church, 3137 Pinckney Rd., Chester, SC.
Mrs. Bradley was born June 17, 1940 in Sharon, SC and was a daughter of the late Barner Horton and Eva Mae Inman Horton. She was a graduate of Hickory Grove High School and also received her CNA Certification. Carolyn was a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked with Palmetto Village in Chester. She retired from Springs Industries Katherine Plant. Carolyn was a member of Wilksburg Baptist Church.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her companion, James "Whitey" Carter; three brothers, E.B. Horton, James "Tucker" Horton and Francis "Popeye" Horton; and three sisters, Trula Ham, Linda Belue and Dorothy Horton.
