She retired from Paris Elementary School as a teacher's assistant, and she also worked at Rhea Elementary School. She was the former owner of Lakeland Daycare Center in Paris. Jean adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Enterprise Church in Gibson County, TN. She loved working with children, gardening, and singing at church.
Jean was born October 26, 1949, in Sandusky, OH, to the late Alexander Robbins and the late Leita Thompkins Robbins.
She was married January 21, 1967, to Allen Johnson, who survives, of Paris.
Along with her husband, she is also survived by one daughter, Lisa Johnson of Paris; one son, Jeff (Ramonica) Johnson of Weakley County, TN; three sisters, Jane Seabaugh, Roxie Rudd, and Jan Lindsey; one brother, Kenny Robbins; six grandchildren, Derek Milton, Ashley Milton, Candace Wooten, Chris Johnson, Steven Johnson, and Jeffrey Johnson; and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Joyce White; and one brother, Jimmy Robbins.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 8, 2022, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Russell Ragsdale officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Entombment will be in Rose Lawn Mausoleum in Paris, TN.
