WALLACE – Douglas Andrew Wallace Jr, age 42 of Plain City passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022 at OSU Medical Center. He was born August 11, 1979 in Lima, Ohio.
Doug graduated in 1998 from Jonathan Alder High School and 2004 from Eastern Kentucky University. He was an avid fan of Notre Dame Football and Cincinnati Reds. Doug battled diabetes and was a recipient of a kidney and pancreas transplant. He was a huge advocate for DonateLifeOhio.org.
Doug is survived by his father, Douglas A. Wallace Sr. of Plain City; mother, Joni (Steve) Alexander of Englewood; maternal grandmother, Nancy Lee Martindale of Kettering; siblings, Lora Lee Wallace of Delaware, Megan (fiancé Jeffrey Ott) Wallace of Marysville; niece, Kyla Fryman of Ft. Sill, OK; nephew, Scott Wallace of Plain City; he was much loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and family pets, Gus and Jinx.
He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Don and Mary Wallace and a maternal grandfather, Don Martindale.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main Street, Plain City where funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday March 11, 2022. Private burial at Huntsville Cemetery, Huntsville, Ohio.
