Benny Hugh Moore, age 77, of Ripley passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022, at his home in Ripley. Benny was born August 21, 1944, in Halls, TN. He is the son of the late Henry Franklin and the late Eva May (Marchbanks) Moore.
He was a retired employee of West TN State Penitentiary.
He is survived by his wife: Jannie Sue (Acuff) Moore, two daughters: Angie Brent of Weidman, MI and Tricia Moore of Ripley, TN, and three sons: Eddy Moore of Fayetteville, GA, Kevin Geary of Huntsville, AL and Benjie Moore of Covington, TN. He leaves one sister Ann Bingham of IN and six grandchildren.
Benny was preceded in death by two sisters, Delane Gilliland and Carolyn Bentley, one brother Franklin Moore.
The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 8 at Henning First Assembly of God Henning, TN with Bro. Larry Howard officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery, Halls.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 8 from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm at Henning First Assembly of God.
