Richard A. "Rick" Reeves, 58, lifelong Tecumseh resident passed on Friday, March 5, 2022.

He was born on September 3, 1963 to Dale and Loudene (Kepler) Pope in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was later adopted by Robert Reeves, Sr.in 1973.

Rick was raised in Tecumseh and attended Tecumseh Public Schools where he was a member of the Tecumseh FFA, Tecumseh High School Band and played baseball and football. He also attended Jim Paul Dance Studios. He graduated with the class of 1981 graduate from Tecumseh High School. After high school he attended Okmulgee Tech, Seminole State College and Murray State College in Tishomingo. In his later years he attended and graduated the Cleet Academy, which started his law enforcement career.

He married Robin June Cloud on May 20, 2000 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.

Rick worked as a diesel mechanic before beginning his law enforcement career. He worked for Tecumseh Police Dept., Valley Brook, Carnegie, Apache, Pottawatomie Co. Sheriff's Dept, Citizen Pottawatomi Tribe, Sac & Fox Juvenile Facility and COJAC. He was the Sorna Officer for the Absentee Shawnee Tribe retiring in 2015. Rick spent more than 20 years in law enforcement as a police officer. He also worked in the pipeline industry for several years, but his main passion was coaching. Rick started coaching kids T-ball and after his retirement began coaching at Tecumseh Public Schools. He was an avid OU, Dallas Cowboys and NY Yankees fan. He loved his chocolate and Diet Dr. Pepper.

He was preceded in death by his fathers, Dale Pope and Robert Reeves, Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Robin Reeves of the home; 1 daughter, Amber and Jerome Tiger of Tecumseh, OK; 4 sons, Ty and Angel Reeves of Tecumseh, OK, Dominic and Heidi Cloud of Shawnee, Cody and Diane Reeves of Edmond, OK and Stevie Creek of Shawnee, OK; 15 grandchildren, Malak, Izaiah, Zariyah, Malaki, Karman, Kash, Khloe, Kobe, Sophie, Sonny, Stormy, Timothy, Logan, Danni and Leeyah; his mother, Loudene Reeves of Tecumseh, OK; brother, Robert and Shannon Reeves of Tecumseh, OK; godson, Jordon and Jaxson Roden; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Freddie and Thomas Billie, Jr. and Irene Harjo; brother-in-law, Ron and Jill Tanyan; sisters-in-law, Ericka Harjo, Kimberly Hill, Dana Ahaisse, Kelly Wood, Teri Jo and Donovan Cooper; and other extended family and friends.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude and special thanks to Julia Taff and EMT Tecumseh, Holdenville High School Baseball Team and fans and all who assisted that day. The many people who donated food, prayers and Go Fund Me.

Pallbearers will be Ty Reeves, Cody Reeves, Dominic Cloud, Stevie Creek, Tim Churchwell, Terry Sisco, Shawn Crawley, Eric Anderson, Greg Roundtree and Jerome Tiger.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Coach Johnson, McMullen, O'Hara, Wiley, Shafer, Bullock, Atchley, Marrs, Storm, Pearcy, Joubert, Roberson, Perry Wilson, Kerry Wilson, Kurt Shirey, Robert Komecheet Sr., Garrett Meeley, Tracy Lindsey and Dustin Tucker.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 10, 2022 and continue through service time. Family gathering will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to greet friends and family at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 11, 2022 at Tecumseh Alumni Center with Pastor Victor Cope officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
