Emily W. Jones, of New Orleans, LA, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 3, 2022 at the age of 88. She was the wife of the late Robert Jones. Emily is survived by her daughter Shelia Miller (Louis), 2 grandsons: Lamar and Louis Miller; granddaughter Dorshen Peterson of Orlando, FL; 6 great grandchildren, sister Dorothy Sims (Houston) and brother Warren Ward Sr., both of Napoleonville, LA; sisters-in-law: Ethel Taylor and Magie Jones of New Orleans, and Rose Ben of Bridge City, LA; a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, January 8, 2022 for 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mt. Rose Baptist Church, 1318 Simon Bolivar Ave., New Orleans, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Providence Memorial Park. Due to COVID-19, all attendees are REQUIRED to wear face masks.
