Aaron C. Jackson, 76, died May 14, 1996 at Elkview Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born February 24, 1920 to Carrol and Lona (Brannon) Jackson in Cold Springs.

He married Ruth L. Fowler March 17, 1943 in Oklahoma City.

Jackson served with the U. S. Coast Guard during World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Roosevelt and served on the Con. 8 Board of Education. Jackson also served many years on the Soil Conservation Board.

Survivors include Ruth of the home, three sons: Eric Jackson, Salt Lake City, Utah; Randy Jackson, Hobart; and David Jackson, Hobart; one daughter Mary Jan Swanson, Weatherford; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers: Leo Jackson, Roosevelt; Willie Jackson, Roosevelt; five sisters: Blanche Caskey, Oklahoma City; Mozell Schulz, Topeka, Kansas; Maxine Rhoads, Tulsa ; Eva Jean Hays, Liberal, Kansas; and Leta Faye Walkemeyer, Hugoton, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Vernie Jackson; and one sister, Marie Courtney.

Services were at 2:00 p.m. May 17, 1996 at First Baptist Church, Roosevelt, with Val Bridenstine, Coyle, and Rev. Randy Allen, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Park Cemetery under direction of Hackney Funeral Home.
