Opal M. Crow

Opal M. Crow, age 88, of Asbury, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008. Opal was born on April 5, 1919, in Guyman, Okla., to the late W.S. and Nellie Banister.

She graduated with her degree from Abilene Christian University in 1939. Opal married Richard Crow Dec. 10, 1939, in Abilene, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1975.

She worked 27 years as a teacher for the Asbury, Carl Junction and Joplin School Districts. Opal was a member of the Mount Hope Church of Christ.

She is survived by a son, Richard Crow and his wife, Carol, of Asbury; one daughter, Linda Miller, Webb City, Mo.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Darla Crow; two brothers; and five sisters.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel with Gary Morrison, Minister, officiating.

Interment will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Those gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Larry Cowardin, Tom Ulmer, Randy Fletcher, Tom Hines, Bob Stines and Harvey Bendure.
