MARENGO - Jane A. Freise, 69, of Marengo, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, at her daughter's home in Union surrounded by her family.
She was born July 1, 1938, in Belvidere, to Otto and Bertha (Ahrens) Dollman.
On Nov. 2, 1957, she married Henry W. Freise in Union.
She was a secretary at St. John's Lutheran Church in Union, retiring after 28 years of service. After her retirement, she was employed by Wisted's Supermarket in Woodstock.
Survivors include four children, Lori Freise of Marengo, Joni Freise of Union, David Freise of Harvard and Teri Sue (Michael) Herff of Hebron; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Thomas, Emily, Vincent and Frank Herff and Connor Freise; two brothers, Roy Dollman and Charles (JoAnn) Dollman of Coral; a sister, Joyce (Raymond) Vance of Missouri; her mother-in-law, Elvira Freise; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth and Donald Freise; a sister-in-law, Lois Reiser; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin sister, Jean; her husband of 48 years, Henry; an infant daughter, Debra Jean; a brother-in-law, Floyd Reiser; and a sister-in-law, Lillian Dollman.
The visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 6821 Main St., Union. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at the church. The Rev. Norman Meyer will officiate.
Interment will be in Marengo City Cemetery.
