Charles Daryl Byrum, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 17th, 2021 at Atrium Hospital, Pineville. Daryl was born in Charlotte, NC on May 28th, 1948. He grew up in Charlotte and attended South Mecklenburg High School. After high school he served in the United State Marine Corps. He raised his family in Weddington, NC.

"TaTa" as he was called by his grandchildren and family, participated in Pleasant Grove Campground meetings in Mineral Springs, NC. Daryl loved beach music, playing golf and being with family and friends at the beach.
The funeral will be held at 4:30 pm on August 21st, 2021 outdoors at The Pleasant Grove Campground, 2220 Billy Howey Road, Waxhaw, NC 28173. To enable us to honor and remember Daryl's life in the safest manner possible, service will be held outdoors with additional seating available outside the arbor to allow for proper social distancing. Hugs, handshakes and embracing others, although desired and warranted in a normal environment, should not be practiced as requested by the family.
