In Loving Memory of Frances Addie Carr Morgan

After a very long battle with cancer, mom's earthly journey ended March 4th, 2022. She passed away peacefully in hospice surrounded by her family.

Mom was a force. She was beautiful, elegant, and brilliant. A late in life Donaghey Scholars graduate from UALR, her thirst for knowledge led her to receive a BA in History, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1993. She went on to earn her Master's in Public History.

Mom loved working for the Central Arkansas Library System. She started as a clerk in 1995, but was soon made the branch manager of the Aerospace Library. In 1999, mom became the staff training coordinator for the system. She later worked on the system's Bill Clinton State Government Project. She eventually made her way to the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies where she spent eight years working as an archivist processing historical papers and photographs. The collection she was most proud of was the Dee Brown papers, which chronicle the life and career of Arkansas's most famous author. In all, she devoted almost twenty-four years to the institution. Mom considered the library system an integral part of the community and happily invested her heart and soul in the endeavor.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Minnie Carr.

She is survived by her two daughters Dana Lee Rideout (Paul) and Wendy Lyn Hudgeons (Mike).

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to her caregiver, Fran, and dear friend Brian, as well as her many ''kids'' in the Donaghey Scholars Program. We would also like to thank the caregiving teams at CARTI, Little Rock Family Practice, and Hospice Home Care.

Mom's memorial service will be held at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Little Rock this Wednesday, March 9th, 2022, at 2:00 pm. Memorials may be made to your charity of choice.
